Philip Yiu Cho Lau – CMTO Suspends Certificate of Registration

TORONTO, September 25, 2024 – The College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) confirms that it has suspended Philip Yiu Cho Lau’s Certificate of Registration.

In September 2024, Philip Yiu Cho Lau was charged with four counts of sexual assault. Following these charges, CMTO’s Inquiries, Complaints and Reports Committee has suspended Lau’s Certification of Registration.

Philip Yiu Cho Lau is not permitted to practise Massage Therapy in Ontario.

“CMTO takes allegations of sexual misconduct very seriously. This suspension helps to protect the public while the criminal justice system goes through its necessary steps,” said Maureen Boon, CMTO’s Registrar and CEO.
