One of the College’s key duties is to provide guidance to registrants/Registered Massage Therapists (“RMTs” or “MTs”) on professionalism and other relevant practice issues. This guidance is provided in the College’s written policies (listed on the left), which articulate the College Council’s opinion on specific issues relating to the practice of Massage Therapy. These policies provide RMTs with a broader explanation of practice issues than can be found in the legal format of the corresponding regulation. They have been developed to protect the safety of the Ontario public. RMTs who violate any policies of the College may be deemed to have violated a regulation(s), and therefore to have committed professional misconduct.
