There is increased expectation for health regulatory Colleges to demonstrate accountability to the public. This includes strengthening governance processes. Council recently expanded the eligibility requirements for being appointed to Council and Committees. Nominees/applicants are now required to successfully complete a training program relating to the duties, obligations and expectations of Council and Committee members. This is to ensure that candidates understand the role of the College in protecting the public interest, the responsibilities of Council/Committee members and the expectations of the Ministry of Health.
The College’s Orientation Program contains three modules. If you are interested in running for Council or applying to be a non-Council Committee member, you must complete all three modules.
