CMTO has been alerted of individuals illegally practising Massage Therapy (e.g. representing themselves as RMTs/MTs when they are not registered with CMTO). When CMTO receives information that an individual is practicing Massage Therapy illegally, the College takes steps to inform the public, including posting warnings on CMTO’s social media channels and providing information on our website.

Before you make an offer to hire someone as an RMTs/MTs, always check CMTO’s Public Register to verify the applicant is approved to practise and holds a General Certificate of Registration from the College.
