CMTO’s Board met on February 13, 2024. Highlights from the meeting are below.

• CMTO welcomed five new members to the Board for a three-year term. Congratulations and thanks to:

  • Robyn Libby, RMT, District 4
  • Dawn Oehring, RMT, District 2
  • Ravara Van Vliet, RMT, District 7

• The Board received a draft ‘Prevention of Sexual Abuse in Massage Therapy’ report based on themes and discussions at CMTO’s Prevention of Sexual Abuse Symposium on November 10th, 2023. The Board was also presented with a list of collaborative action items that the College plans to undertake in 2024.
• On May 8, 2023, the Board approved in principle the creation of a standing Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Committee to advance CMTO’s commitment to the principles of EDI. At the February 13th meeting, the Board reviewed and approved the EDI Committee’s Terms of Reference.
• During the meeting, the Board also approved the following items:
  • 2024 Workplan;
  • Registrar’s Report;
  • Fourth quarter 2023 year-to-date Financial Report; and
  • Fourth quarter 2023 Quality Assurance Committee Report.
