
Our Commitment to Equity, Diversity and Inclusion

CMTO has made a commitment to foster a culture of equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) in Massage Therapy regulation. As part of this commitment, CMTO will ensure we are serving the public interest by learning from Ontarians with unique lived experiences and responding to their specific needs.
As an example of initial steps, CMTO recently launched an EDI-dedicated webpage to provide helpful resources related to Massage Therapy to clients and RMTs who want to learn more about EDI.
Every year, we identify and report on our EDI progress to the Ontario Ministry of Health through the College Performance Measurement Framework (CPMF) tool. The latest CPMF report is available on our website if you’d like to learn more about our initiatives.
This year, CMTO will establish a permanent equity, diversity and inclusion Committee at the governance-level that will guide CMTO’s efforts in advancing our EDI work.
