Thong Tran – Not Permitted to Practise, Charged with One Count of Sexual Assault

TORONTO, May 20, 2026 – The College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) confirms that it is investigating Thong Tran, who has been charged with one count of sexual assault by York Regional Police.
Pursuant to court conditions, Thong Tran is not permitted to practise Massage Therapy in Ontario.
“Massage Therapy is clinical healthcare. Sexual conduct of any kind is a violation of that relationship and will not be tolerated. CMTO is cooperating fully with the York Regional Police,” said Maureen Boon, CMTO’s Registrar and CEO.
