On January 3, 2022, the Ontario Government announced a temporary return to Step 2 of the Roadmap to Reopen. This announcement may impact RMTs in limited settings such as gyms, which were ordered to close for at least 21 days.

As part of this announcement, the Chief Medical Officer of Health will reinstate Directive 2 for hospitals and regulated health professionals. CMTO is reviewing Directive 2 to determine the impacts on RMTs and will advise of any changes to practice shortly.
