Liming Qu Not Permitted to Practise, Under CMTO Investigation due to Sexual Assault Charge

TORONTO, December 17, 2025 – The College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) confirms that it is investigating Liming Qu, who is charged with one count of sexual assault by the Halton Regional Police.
Pursuant to bail conditions imposed by the court, Liming Qu is not permitted to practise Massage Therapy in Ontario.
“CMTO is cooperating with the Halton Regional Police and conducting its own investigation. Not allowing this registrant to practise Massage Therapy will protect the public while this charge moves forward through the criminal justice system.” said Maureen Boon, CMTO’s Registrar and CEO.
