In Ontario, about 40,000 Massage Therapy treatments take place each day. Most of the time, Massage Therapy clients receive professional, safe, and quality treatment that enhances their lives and well-being. In a rare case when sexual abuse does occur, CMTO provides support, investigates conduct, and takes disciplinary action.

In the past few years, CMTO has been focused on preventing sexual abuse before it happens. As part of this commitment, we have made a concerted effort to raise awareness of what to expect when you visit a Registered Massage Therapist in Ontario.
