Conan Valyear Not Permitted to Practise – CMTO Suspends Certificate of Registration: Under Investigation for Allegation of Sexual Misconduct

TORONTO, December 10, 2025 – The College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) has suspended Conan Valyear’s Certificate of Registration. This suspension is a result of an allegation of sexual misconduct from a client who received Massage Therapy treatment from Mr. Valyear in Ontario, and the misconduct described in a public notification regarding Mr. Valyear issued by the College of Complementary Health Professionals of BC.
“There is nothing sexual about Massage Therapy care. We take all complaints seriously and have suspended this individual’s ability to practise as CMTO investigates this allegation,” said Maureen Boon, CMTO’s Registrar and CEO.

CMTO urges anyone with relevant information or concerns about this individual, or who may have experienced misconduct, to contact the College immediately. All reports will be handled confidentially and with sensitivity to support affected individuals.
