New College Orientation Program

The College recently hosted an intensive three-day New College Orientation Program led by a lawyer experienced in health legislation, for Board members of the new College of Massage Therapists of New Brunswick; Board members from the College of Massage Therapists of Newfoundland and Labrador, as well as CMTO were also in attendance. The three-day workshop focused on the challenges of self-regulation and provided an opportunity for all the participants to network and share experiences.

Some of the topics covered were: the regulatory framework, the public interest mandate of the Colleges, College structure and governance, risk management and steps to starting a new College.
