Health System Improvements Act

In June 2007, the Health Systems Improvement Act (Bill 171) was proclaimed. This legislation amends the Regulated Health Professions Act to increase public access to information regarding healthcare professionals, including Massage Therapists and promotes greater patient/clent protection. The Act also adds four more regulated professions to the RHPA – naturopathy, homeopathy, psychotherapy and kinesiology, amongst other amendments. Please refer to the Public Information page of the Ministry of Health and Long-term Care (MOHLTC) website for short backgrounders and resources related to these amendments.
