Reminder: It’s Tick Season in Ontario
June 9, 2023
With the arrival of summer, Ontarians will be spending more time outdoors. CMTO would like to remind RMTs and Massage Therapy clients to check their skin for ticks after being in wooded areas, such as tall grasses and gardens. The blacklegged tick, also known as the deer tick, may carry an increased risk of Lyme disease.
Please review the resources below to find out where high-tick populations are located, how you can lessen your risk of exposure, and what clients should do in case of a tick bite.
