Gerard Rodrigues – Update: CMTO Confirms Investigation into Further Charges

TORONTO, January 10, 2020 – The College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) confirms that it is investigating one of its registrants, Gerard Rodrigues, who was arrested and charged with two counts of sexual assault (on December 11, 2019, and January 6, 2020). Gerard Rodrigues was practicing in Peterborough, Ontario, and was also charged with one count of assault on January 6, 2020.

CMTO is cooperating with the Peterborough Police Service. Gerard Rodrigues cannot currently practice as CMTO has suspended his Certificate of Registration. Please see Gerard Rodrigues’ details on CMTO’s public register for further information.
