Social Media Awareness eLearning Module

Pause Before You Post: Social Media Awareness for Regulated Health Care Professionals

The Social Media Awareness e-Learning Module was produced in collaboration with six other health regulatory Colleges in Ontario. The module contains numerous examples and case-based scenarios that illustrate effective use of social media in a healthcare practice and its proper application in a Massage Therapy practice.

While the module does not replace a registrant’s professional obligation to comply with applicable standards and legislation, the content serves to provide a review of professional standards of practice, legislative requirements, and risk management strategies that support the maintenance of a professional reputation and appropriate professional relationships in social media forums.
