CMTO’s 2019 Annual Report
October 7, 2020
The College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO)’s 2019 Annual Report is now available. The report is also available in French.
In 2019, CMTO achieved several significant milestones, including the launch of STRiVE – the new Quality Assurance Program and the development of a refreshed Code of Ethics in partnership with Massage Therapists. The progress made in 2019 is consistent with CMTO’s vision of being at the forefront of evolving professional regulation by inspiring trust and confidence, and advancing our three interrelated, long-term goals: transparency, quality and regulatory modernization. While CMTO’s Strategic Plan did not contemplate the challenges we are facing in 2020, it did lay the groundwork for stronger transparency, higher quality treatment and more effective regulation.
As we continue to navigate through this global pandemic, we are thankful for the collaboration of our health system partners, including other health regulatory colleges. We would also like to extend thanks to Ontario’s Massage Therapists for their professionalism and the quality care they provide.
Looking forward, CMTO remains committed to regulating the Massage Therapy profession in the public interest and achieving the goals of transparency, quality and regulatory modernization.
