Closure of Non-Essential Business Extended until May 19, 2020

May 6, 2020

In an effort to prevent and control the spread of COVID-19, the Government of Ontario has extended the closure of all non-essential businesses until May 19, 2020 at 11:59 p.m.

The closure of non-essential businesses means all healthcare professionals in Ontario are restricted from providing anything other than emergency/urgent care. In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, Massage Therapy is not emergency/urgent care, so Massage Therapists should not practice.

The College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) continues to work collaboratively with our health system partners on developing guidelines for return to practice when the emergency/urgent care restrictions are lifted.

In the meantime, please visit the CMTO website for the most up-to-date information.
