CMTO’s 2023 annual registration renewal opens on September 30. All RMTs should renew their registration by November 1, 2022 using the Registrant Portal.

What are the fees for 2023?

Following extensive consultation, CMTO’s Council approved the following fees for 2023:

• General Certificate – $897.00
• Inactive Certificate – $448.50

Deadline and Late Fee
The completed renewal form and payment must be received by 11:59 p.m. on November 1, 2022. Renewals received after that date are subject to a late fee of $100.00.

Professional Liability Insurance
RMTs holding a General Certificate of Registration must maintain the amount of professional liability insurance required under the College By-Laws at all times. The way RMTs provide CMTO with information about their professional liability insurance is changing effective September 30, 2022. During renewal, RMTs will be asked to confirm that their insurance is up-to-date. This new verification process will be simpler and easier for RMTs to complete annually via the Registrant Portal. RMTs must continue updating their insurance information throughout the year if there are any changes.

Starting in 2023, CMTO will also conduct an annual audit of three percent of General Certificate holders who will then be asked to submit a copy of their Certificate of Insurance.
