In accordance with By-Law No. 2 s.8 (A) and s.41(B), the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) held Board elections in Districts 2, 5, 7, and a by-election in District 4 to fill the vacancy left by the resignation of Ian Vining, RMT. 

CMTO partnered with Simply Voting to administer the elections online. The results of the elections are as follows: 

District 2 Result 

At the close of the Board election in District 2 on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, Dawn Oehring, RMT was re-elected to the Board for a three-year term, beginning January 1, 2024. 

District 4 Result 

At the close of the Board by-election in District 4 on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, Robyn Libby, RMT was elected to the Board for a one-year term, beginning January 1, 2024. 

District 5 Result 

At the close of the Board election in District 5 on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, Tammy Contois, RMT was elected to the Board for a three-year term, beginning January 1, 2024. 

District 7 Result 

At the close of nominations in District 7, Ravara Van Vliet, RMT was re-elected by acclamation to the Board for a three-year term beginning in January 2024.

CMTO congratulates all elected/re-elected Board members as they join a committed team of Massage Therapists and public members who work together to protect the public interest, maintain trust in Massage Therapy, and build confidence in Massage Therapy regulations.

CMTO also thanks all RMTs in Districts 2, 4, 5, and 7 for their participation in the nomination and election process.
