TORONTO, October 5, 2018 – It has recently come to the attention of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) that John Ackerman, former Registered Massage Therapist (RMT), has been charged with one count of sexual assault.
Mr. Ackerman is not currently able to practice Massage Therapy in Ontario. As the result of a current investigation, Mr. Ackerman’s certificate of registration was suspended. CMTO is continuing that investigation and will commence a new investigation into the criminal charge. CMTO is cooperating with the Ottawa Police Service.
