Registration Renewal

General Information

Current College registrants holding a General or an Inactive Certificate must renew their registration each year by November 1, 11:59 P.M. ET.  Renewals can be submitted online (please allow 10 minutes to complete the process), or submitted by fax, scanned email or postmarked mail, before this time. 

There are two types of registration certificates:

General Certificate (GC) – required for any registrant wanting to practise Massage Therapy in the province

Inactive Certificate (IN) – for Massage Therapists who are not currently practising Massage Therapy in Ontario but may return to practice in the future

Registrants can change from a General Certificate to Inactive Certificate, for the subsequent year, during the online renewal. Registrants can request a status change from Inactive Certificate to a General Certificate, by contacting the College.

Fee Schedule

Registration fees for January 1 to December 31, 2015, are:

  • General Certificate $578.00
  • Inactive Certificate $175.00

The fee increase for your 2015 fees is less than $10.  Council is obliged each year to increase the fee to take into consideration inflation costs.  This year Council has chosen the lowest fee increase permitted under the CMTO bylaws.

Registration renewals received after midnight, November 1, 2014, will incur a $200 late fee, which will be added to your registration fee. 1
